How is Hillview Craft Skin Cream Made

Hillview Craft Tallow Skin Cream is made in small batches of 10- 4 oz jars and 12- 2 oz jars on our farm in Shipman, IL. We keep our batches small, so you get the freshest product available.

Why We Never Heat Our Tallow

Nothing is heated, so all the health benefits of the grassfed tallow and oils remain intact, don’t go rancid, and don’t separate. Oils are added in order of quantity to the tallow in a blender and whisked to the perfect, light consistency to go on your skin smoothly and absorb quickly. 

We start with grass-fed beef tallow which has more vitamin A, D, E, and K than tallow from grain fed cows. Then we slowly add the following ingredients in order:

• Jojoba oil– this liquid wax is also similar to human sebum (oil), so it balances the oil production in oily and dry skin without clogging pores. It is also anti-inflammatory and antibacterial with antioxidants Vitamin E and B-complex vitamins. Jojoba oil is lightweight, so it hydrates deeply and absorbs quickly.
• Rosehip oil– full of fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6), Vitamins A and C, and antioxidants, this oil is able to fade dark spots and reduce the appearance of scars, sun damage, and uneven skin tone through its regenerative properties.
• Flaxseed oil– contains alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and lignans that have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. This oil supports hydration, elasticity, and strengthens the skin barrier to help lock in moisture.
• Honey– excellent for acne prone skin as its antibacterial and antimicrobial properties cleans the pores and prevents breakouts. It also exfoliates and slows the aging process.
• Vitamin E– yet another strong antioxidant that protects the skin from oxidative stress caused by UV rays and environmental pollution. It also stabilizes the other oils, helping them work together better and keep the product from going rancid.

Forty-five minutes later, we have a batch of whipped tallow skin cream. That’s it! Hillview Craft Tallow Skin Cream is all natural, clean, fragrance free and preservative free.
